Gölbaşı Public Garden: An Eco-system for Ankara

Gölbaşı Public Garden project has been inhabited on a large, vacant field of Gölbaşı including an existing wetland. Our main task is to restore existing natural landscape, to rehabilitate adjacent environment, and to integrate the Public Garden to Ankara. While achieving this task we have completed an urban design study in accordance with natural habitat and wetland ecosystems, to unite with Ankara transportation systems, and to protect the existing wetland, partially opening to public in a controlled way. In order to provide water use control almost no new planting has been proposed except woods, existing reeds have been preserved, and rain forest has been recommended. The deepest circle of the main strategical scheme is to preserve the existing wetland area together with natural reeds entirely, to clean wherever needed.
